CSCI 1210

Introduces design and development of visually effective and functional websites in an enterprise environment. Concepts may include the history of the Internet and the World Wide Web; the Hypertext Markup Language and Cascading Stylesheets; design principles; information architecture and page layout; effective integration of graphics and media in websites; use of development software and browsers; accessibility issues; site testing; the development process and site maintenance issues; search engine optimization and site promotion. Laboratory use of software is an integral part of this course.
