Catalog Description

Explores mobile computing concepts and related software development. Includes internal mechanisms for serving attached devices, managing ad hoc networks, and employing wireless network protocols.

Prerequisite(s)

CSCI 3160 and CSCI 2200 and CSCI 3500, each with a C- or better

Course Outcomes

  • Perform basic probability and statistics evaluation and report for networking.
  • Solve network problems by employing traffic theory.
  • Evaluate and employ the various layers of network protocols.
  • Explain cellular system infrastructure and its application in contemporary design.
  • Compare technical differences between ad hoc and sensor networks.
