Catalog Description
Studies operating systems which are the primary resource managers of computer hardware. The main features provided by operating systems, including process management, storage management, processor management, and auxiliary storage management are detailed. Topics of networking and security are introduced. Case studies of representative commercial operating systems highlight the main features common to operating systems.
